LAS ANGELEEZY PRIDE 10 DONNAS 5'

I knew that this show woulld be awesome when we realized that the line up ended up being exactly the way it was printed from bottom left to top and than bottom right Clockwise was how it all went down and to me that was a bit magical and meant to be (lol) This weekend was pretty awesome. American Splits & Jeepneys came dowwn here! they arrived on friday night and played at the WOMEN on crenshaw house. It is a cool house show house in "mid city" . The people that lived there were really awesome and super nice. It felt validating and good to finally meet normal people in such a big city of flat land and a buncha donkeys GARGAR GAR, There are tons of hills here. This house totally had a "bay area" vibe with/or without us bay area folks there. I decided that U am gonna start selling certain cutesy gadgets, toys, pins, candy, mix-tapes and junk @ shows as a funn added bonus to the merch section or whatever, I did it this weekend w/ the bands and it was super awesome!! Jeepneys is Ana from Schwule and Eggs on legs, those are her old bands! In this new stuff she does its 3 girls, electronics, harp, violin, echo-y vocals and totally experimental good. American Splits are the coolest, I have a hard time explaining or trying to describe a sound, they ROCK! Last night (saturday) there was a ware-house show! and My band PHONES! + NEONATES! SISTER MANTOS , 2 bands from canada, THE SPLITS and JEEPNEYS. I made mini cupcakes to bust out during out set I told the audience that I knew sumone who worked for planned parenthood that gave me a buncha planned B pills to give out to my "Straight friends" in time of needto hand out @ shows but was totally kidding and had mini cupcakes instead! It felt awesome getting to know new friends better, meeting new people, gays, guys, bay area KIDS! and shit titsss. The two bands from canada were ok, the people were awesome but the bands weren't exactly that great...they were rock and roll and they weren't shitty at all but the second one was goood with the girl bassist (lol) The Dudes from the bands were really into PHONES which rocked ! and asked if we had a tape or anything! (fun) but we don't, YET. OMG SISTER MANTOS IS AMAZING! it is lead Vocals Boy/queer Drag front man and two girls back up w/ electronic drums and added percussion w/ total slow electro disco house beat awesomenessss! The party was super fun and it felt like everyone loved all the bands! it was like the coolest LA night yet for Girls Gays and Guys + M. from Neonates brought her i-pod and we were able to Play sum awesome jams from it.
I got more gadgets today from the Echo park flea market that happens in the park every sunday, there is sum amazing shit there!!! + we had a mixed artificial crab, camoron, shrimp, octopus, avocado tostado! it was cool for what it was but it wasn't all that. Jennifer/lead singer of MikaMiko had a yard sale this morning! Thanx to Myspace I was able to find out about this. I got two tees, one plain cool black tee i found in the old M.M. merch bin ( iguess they forgot to print something on it) an old Dickies tee! w/ and a plain white w/ some black and white tee with writing on it. I lost my favorite M.M tee at laurens house some time last year and that really sucks! it was black writing on white, i really do miss it!
after we went to that fleamark in the park. G. got this bootleg DVD independent movie called "Grace" it had a Decent looking Woman on holding a baby bottle full of blood and other weird stuff on the back cover and junk, I told her she had to get it and we were definitely WOW'D! WATCH THIS SUNDANCE FILM DUDE!

My toy collecting is in it's prime now that i am in LA. Going to this one way-out 60's pad in the silverlake hills after haunted house a gogo 5 a couple of months ago and seeing this chicks toys and sense of total hip wild sixties chic style inspired me to continue on with my journey of collecting gadgets, cutesy accessories, clothing yeahyehayeahyeah. Today I went to the Commerce city annual flea market/community yard sale, for only having $5 I found a good amount of treasures like this super cool vintage tee that belonged to an ex-post man thats kinda like a navy blue and white ringer that says stamp licker on the back, a wasted youth tee, miniture mustard bottle, matching hello kitty figurines (1 is holding a hamburger, 1 fries), a hostess/twinkie keychain lipgloss, + yeahyeahyeahyeahyeah Best Chicken taco ever!

Music for me is probably the best way to express ones feelings, it has been such an amazing outlet source for me to release tension through sound. Putting on a record, tape, Mp3, writing a song, seeing a band, whatever really can change how a person feels, it can really cheer up ones spirit in time of need. Or sumtimes in my case it'll make you feel like you, like there is something for you, it's all you and others can share this common realization but what I have, not just aneone can touch!
it's amazing to be able to find people out there who share the same interests as me and I can hear their amazing podcasts and bands and stuff and think 'WOW, this really is me and it makes me happy' that other people out there get it, that other people out there would play the same record or band during a party or gathering to get that shit bumpin. Anger; sure talking or writing about is good but making some noise or writing a song to express that inner-punk is truly the way to go. Trust -me. Some people listen to a shitty song from a known band that they heard about through the radio when they are angry or sad and that ain't right! I guess one is the music they listen to, so what am I?
